Sydney Mechanics' School of Arts

Since 1833, the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts served Sydney's community, connecting its members with literature, science and the arts. It is the oldest operating School of Arts in Australia, constituted under its own Act of Parliament. Today, the School continues to operate longest-running lending library in Australia and runs a robust public program of talks, seminars and screenings. It is the home of the Tom Keneally Centre and offers affordable venue hire in the Sydney CBD. The SMSA also continues to contribute to the local community through grants and awards.

COTA NSW (Council on the Ageing)

The Council on the Ageing NSW (COTA NSW) is the peak organisation for people over 50 in our state. We’re an independent, consumer-based non-government organisation. We work with politicians, policy makers, and service providers as well as media representatives to make sure your views are heard and your needs are met.
